I love Ice-Cream

When I was a child, everytime my mom took us out out for an"ice cream outing" I used to be very excited about the new flavours I would get to eat there. And on reaching the destination (Ice cream parlour) taking my own sweet time to finalize my flavour. But by the time the ice cream was in my hand, I always ended up feeling that every body elses' ice cream flavours seemed to be more better than mine. However much of cajoling or convincing by my mom wouldn't make me change my mind.

Today life seems so much like that to me.Just a few moments back I was looking at other people's lives and wondering how lucky they are to have such plain, simple and happy lives.I would do anything to have such uncomplicated lives. And suddenly I thought, "Ewwww....!!!"No.....I would never trade my favourite sundae full of nuts, chocolate sauce, jelly and wafers with a plain vanilla ice cream for anything in this world.NEVER!!!

I like my ice cream like that...crunchy-sweet-sour-colourful- full of surprises !!!!

On second thoughts - yes I love my life like this. Rickety - with its usual ups and downs - some bitter -some sweet surprises.....and above all the different colours I have around me which make my life beautiful. I would not want to trade it with anything . :)

Dear God.

P.S: It's filled with various questions that struck me through the day.


Dear God,
I have a lot of questions on my mind. I've been having a bad day and I need to know some basic facts of life. Why do you put me in such a situation that I feel I can't solve? Don't you love your child enough to keep her in your safe hands? Do you want me to electrocute myself on cross-wires and come back to you?


God, why is it that in today's world people can't speak what's on their mind? What is the necessity to pretend to be someone nice, naive and understanding, when in reality you are not? Doesn't that make one a hypocrite?


Does luck exist? Does karma really exist? Will every harm I do to people and vice-versa really retrace its path back to the bad doer?


Why is life so complicated? Or is it us, mere mortals who complicate it? Was life meant to be simple?
When I read your holy book, I felt peace. Isn't peace the main goal of life, my dear God? What are the goals of life? And why is it so difficult to be happy? Can you tell me the path to happiness?
Somebody told me that if I surrender myself to you, I will be able to feel utmost peace and happiness. They also said that you will take care of me. Will you teach me how to do that?
Why is there such a huge barrier before achieving anything in life? Why can't people learn to respect each other? Why is there such a wide gap between the rich and the poor? Aren't all your children equal in your eyes?


What are relationships, God? Why do we have them? Why are they the best and the worst things in one's life? How do you choose the right people to invest your time on? How do you define trust? How do you know if they're worth it? Can I please have a trust-o-gauge? Why do people not lend a listening ear, a warm heart and healing words to people who are low and disturbed? But why do they flock to share a person's happiness? Aaaaah, the ironies of life that I shall never understand.
God, what is ambition? Is it right? Isn't that why Julius Ceaser was killed, but Alexander flourished? What was wrong with Hitler? He had the best brains. But why didn't you mould him right to use his knowledge, skills and courage responsibly? Is it his fault or yours?


My dear Lord, I have a lot more questions buzzing around my head. But till my random thoughts and questions take shape, this is all I have to ask. I hope you answer, after taking into consideration my maturity level. I love you with all my heart and I hope you always guide me and give me the strength to do the right things in life.


Help me to remember Lord, that nothing is going to happen that you and I can't handle together.

Never judge someone, until you walk a mile in their shoes.

"She wears rags instead of clothes."
- Maybe because she's poor?

"She is so fat, why can't she bloody exercise?" 
- She might have thyroid or any such disease.

"Why does have to wear clothes that reveal her cleavage? She must be a slut."

- She could be from a decent family, trying to find her identity, while stuck between her peers.

It's effortless to judge. It's easy to assume that fat people are lazy. It's even easier to assume that they're ugly. But until, you know someone's story, don't judge. Someone once asked a fellow traveller how u could be sure that a particular fat person had thyroid. In all honesty, she didn't. She didn't know her name, forget her medical history. Maybe she was lazy - but what would she get assuming so?


I get judged a lot. I'm talkative and I'm loud. But I don't talk to everyone easily. I've heard people say I have an attitude problem when I do that or their common statement is, "Oh, so X is out of Nanets league." I could deny it, but I don't take that effort. I don't go around proving to everyone how I am. I don't find the necessity to - maybe a reason why they shouldn't find the need to judge me.

Judging a person is a deliberate decision one makes. It's not human nature, it's not natural. If it comes naturally to you, please control the urge to judge. Remember that you don't know her story. If you want to conclude something about a person, talk to them and find out about them. Get to know them. Bask in their warmth. Enjoy their company. Sometimes, there is a sensitive heart beneath a built body and layers of love to share beneath layers of fat. Find that.

Never talk about a person behind their back. Just because half the world does it doesn't make it right. I find it more comforting to be called whatever you judge about me on my face, rather than from someone after it has passed through fifty pairs of ears. Don't defame words. They're meant to spread hope, happiness and love. It's through the power of words that suicide attempts are prevented. It's through words that one feels beautiful. It's words that give one the power to make or break a person's day - sometimes even their life. Use them wisely.

I'm sorry if I'm giving out advice here, but I admit I'm not perfect. I have a very short temper and can get angry at a snap. I'm neither the most patient. But I have a heart that cares, a hand that will hold my loved ones and two ears that will not just hear, but listen.

Self introspection. :)

This questionnaire was an email sent by a friend who follows my blog. He had answered this questionnaire, which He in turn had found on a local magazine.
His answers inspired me to try this questionnaire for myself.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? 
13 years old. I'm childish, but can be mature if the situation demands it. 

Which is worse, failing or never trying? 
Never trying. You don't know what you're good at till you try.

If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? 
That's cause we're unwilling to let go of our comfort zone and venture into unknown horizons to realize what we love and do it. 

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? 
Happens at times, but most of the time no.

What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? 
The pace with which we're living life. Stop and smell the flowers (unless you're allergic to them)!

If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? 
Making people smile. 

Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
Doing what I believe in. 

If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? 
Give more love, laugh out loud, make beautiful memories and strike off everything on my bucket list! 

To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? 
60 degrees. 

Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? 
Doing the right things. 

You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire.  They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend.  The criticism is distasteful and unjustified.  What do you do?
Find out the reason why they feel that way about her, give them time to get to know my friend and bridge differences. 

If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? 
"Listen to your heart, it knows best." 

Would you break the law to save a loved one? 
Yes. 

Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity? 
Yes! 

What’s something you know you do differently than most people? 
Living life on my own terms.

How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? 
Happiness is unique to each individual. It's a perspective. :) 

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?  What’s holding you back?  
Extreme sports. Haven't had the opportunity yet.

Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? 
Holding on to grudges. Sigh forgiveness! 

If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? 
I wouldn't want to move out of Mumbai, I feel a sense of belongingness here, my childhood filled with memories :-)

Do you push the elevator button more than once?  Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? 
No.  

Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? 
A joyful simpleton! 

Why are you, you? 
Because it's awesome being me. :D I chose to be how I am and where I am. 

Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? 
On most matters, yes.  

Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? 
Losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you. 

What are you most grateful for? 
Being able to laugh and be happy! 

Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? 
Lose all my old memories. 

Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first? 
No, I don't think so. 

Has your greatest fear ever come true? 
My greatest fear is the death of my loved ones. It will come true one day, but I don't want it to. I will never be ready for it. 

Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset?  Does it really matter now? 
Don't remember it. 

What is your happiest childhood memory?  What makes it so special? 
Playing in my chawl with all my friends. Buying boondi ladoo and melody chocolate EVERYDAY after school! No wonder I was a fatso. :D It's special cause it was simple act with the capacity to bring immense happiness.

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? 
No, haven't felt that way for quite sometime. 

If not now, then when? 
When I want to.  

If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose? 
I'm reminded of a quote by Steve Jobs.

Yes. It's a wonderful feeling. :) 

Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? 
Intolerance? I'm not sure.  

Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?
No. 

If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? 
I'd take the million dollars and continue working! :D 

Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? 
More work I actually enjoy doing.  

Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before? 
Yes. I feel that since i've been working. :|  

When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in? 
Last Month

If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? 
Everybody I love. I'd throw a get together party and bond with them all. 

Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous? 
If I have ten years, I'll use that to become famous. Attractive is a perspective. So no. 

What is the difference between being alive and truly living? 
Being alive is pushing through each day like a zombie waiting for it to end. Truly living is going to bed, waiting for sunrise to experience more of life. :) 

When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? 
When that's what you want to know. You'll know that feeling. We have nothing to lose by doing what we want. 

If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? 
When a goalkeeper misses a goal before quitting his career, do you remember the last goal he missed or the n number of goals he prevented? The world remembers your failures, not your successes. We let the world decide what is right and wrong for us. 

What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? 
Say NO to the things I can't and don't want to tolerate. 

When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? 
Last night. Fell asleep to its rhythm. :) 

What do you love?  Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love? 
Writing. Reading. Yes. 

In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday?  What about the day before that?  Or the day before that? 
No. 

Decisions are being made right now.  The question is:  Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? 
Making them for myself and finding out if it is suitable for me through my loved ones.

I had a good opportunity for self introspection while answering these questions! So glad to have Mr.Henry send it to me.

L.I.F.E :) ! .. ♥ :)


Life's a beautiful gift from the Almighty. It has to be lived to it's fullest worth. Each person has the right to live life the way they want to, but always remember to live without regrets.. Because twenty years from now, you'll be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than the things that you did. So, EXPLORE. DREAM. DISCOVER.

 There are no mistakes in life, only lessons. Always love yourself, trust your choice & EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. To accomplish great things in life, we must not only ACT, but also DREAM, not only PLAN, but also BELIEVE.

 Never be afraid to cry. Your tears are only warm drops of light that remind you how to feel. Do not be afraid to laugh, for that is the sound of a world that cares. Do not be afraid to care. It is only by caring that you do what must be done. Never ever be afraid to STAND OUT.

 There are many ways to live life. You can fall in love or fall in hate, you can get depressed or you can get inspired. You can ace a test or flunk a class. You can speak the truth or lie & cheat. You can dance on the tables or sit in a corner. Life is divine chaos. EMBRACE IT. FORGIVE YOURSELF. Breathe.. And enjoy the ride. The choice is yours.

 I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will even forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. MAKE PEOPLE FEEL LOVED. Let them know that they are cared for & that they are special. Cause sometimes, all that a person needs is a hand to hold & a heart to understand. :)..

 Life lives, Life dies. Life laughs, Life cries. Life gives up & Life tries. All I'm trying to say is that life looks different through everyone's eyes. So, NEVER UNDERESTIMATE the potential in a person. Let everyone live life to the best of their capabilities.

 Learn from failures. Always keep trying, for the greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall. Make mistakes, but always remember that FAILURE IS AN EVENT & IT IS NOT YOU.

 I've loved my life, I've lived it, I've lied, I've hurt people, I've lost & gained, I've trusted, I've been betrayed.. Yes, I've made mistakes. Most of all, I'VE LEARNED FROM MY MISTAKES.

 I believe that everything happens for a reason. But then, I can't find the reason in some cases. At such times, I just tell myself that what's done is done. YOU HAVE TO MOVE FORWARD IN LIFE. You can't keep looking back. After all, it's just a chapter in the past. But don't close the book, just turn the page.

 NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT TROUBLES. For they are not troubles, but CHALLENGES. Challenges are what makes life interesting. And it is only overcoming them that makes life meaningful. So, face challenges, show it what your made of!

 Learn to be contended with what you have, but NEVER STOP DREAMING. There is nothing wrong with wanting more.

 Sometimes in life, you do not get what you want & you get things that you can't believe to possess. LIFE IS FULL OF SURPRISES. You never know how much you'll miss something, until you lose it. So, hold on to your loved ones & things that are important to you.

 Never predict your future. Just CREATE IT.

 In this world, you can be anybody. You can be a Marilyn Monroe, a Mother Teresa, a Mukesh Ambani, a Ratan Tata, a Sachin Tendulkar.. But why be somebody else, when you can BE YOURSELF? Be a first rate version of yourself, not a second rate version of somebody else!

 Want to know how to be yourself, if your not accepted as you?  Be who you are & say what you feel, because THOSE WHO MIND DON'T MATTER & THOSE WHO MATTER DON'T MIND.

 We are who we are for a lot of reasons, & maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can feel good about them. ♥

 Some pursue happiness, others create it. Belong to the latter & SHARE YOUR JOY with others!

 ALWAYS CHOOSE.. to live by choice, not chance; to make changes, not excuses; to be be motivated, not manipulated; to be useful, not used; to excel & not compete. Always choose to have self-esteem & not self-pity. CHOOSE TO LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE & not the random opinions of others.

 You have THREE CHOICES: give in, give up or GIVE IT YOUR ALL.

 Life is never easy; it isn't about finding who you are, but CREATING WHO YOU WANT TO BE. The most important things in life aren't things. You are more important than them. Make the important a PRIORITY in your life & not an option. Every story has an end; but in life, there are no ends.. Just beginnings.

 Sometimes in life, you have to hit the lowest point of being sad, where you can't take it anymore & you completely lose yourself, to get back on your feet again. Without fear, there would be no accomplishment & no testing our limitations. FACE FEAR & THE FEAR WILL VANISH.

 Don't dwell on the past. Your history can't be erased, but your future has yet to be written. MAKE THE MOST OF WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN, instead of worrying about what you can't change. Don't waste your time being sad, because your wasting away moments in which you could BE HAPPY.

 Always LIVE LIFE, A DAY AT A TIME. Do not grieve over the past for it has gone; & do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. LIVE IN THE PRESENT, & make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.

 NEVER BE AFRAID TO TAKE CHANCES. Life is about trusting our feelings & taking chances, losing & finding happiness, appreciating memories & learning from the past. In life, it doesn't matter how long you take to get where you want, as long as you get there.

 The purpose of life is to live it, to TASTE EXPERIENCE to the utmost, to reach out eagerly & without fear for newer & richer experiences.Always remember that who you are is more important than what you look like. The beauty inside will never equal the made-up beauty outside. FEEL BEAUTIFUL, & you will eventually end up looking beautiful. :)

 If life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, brood or be sad, show life that you have a thousand reasons to SMILE.

 I'd like to end by saying that life comes with no guarantee, no time outs & no second chance. You just have to LIVE life to the fullest, LAUGH as much as you can, spend money, tell someone what they mean to you, tell someone off, speak out, DANCE in the pouring rain, HOLD someone's hand, comfort a FRIEND, have fun, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, SMILE until your face hurts, don't be AFRAID to take chances or fall in LOVE.. & most of all, live in the moment, cause when you look back someday, knowing you have NO REGRETS, it's going to be that what's going to make you smile! :)

A Birthday Letter to a Lovely Sister :-)


Dearest Lavina,

Wish you a very happy birthday! :)

I hope you have a wonderful day showered with love and all good things that the world can offer.

There’s this quote that I recently read and I felt that it resonated with us:

In the short time that we have known each other, you have inspired me like none other. You’ve helped me pick pieces up and forced me to move forward, even when failure broke me apart. You taught me so many lessons that today, I feel strong enough to face life’s battles. Sometimes, when things in life go wrong, that is all we need to do, revisit the lessons we have learned. All the problems you are facing are like clouds that are blocking the clear sky, tackle the clouds - it might rain and pour down with problems - but always remember that the sun will appear. The Lord knows how much we can take and how many problems we are capable of facing and believe that he will never burden us with more than we can handle.


They say love makes life worth living. It is indeed true and I learnt that from you. There is nothing that we cannot accomplish; there is nothing that love cannot crack open. Life might shatter our comfort zones, but it will always take us to deeper levels within ourselves. It will force us to expand our boundaries and explore new things. On this new year of life that you are about to embark, I hope you take along lots of love.
Security is just an illusion. We feel that we are secure when things that we need are within our reach, when we are able to satisfy our wants and when life is at a pace we can handle. But when we do new things, there is no security. When Neil Armstrong went to the moon, what proof did he have that he would return safe? When Edmund Hillary climbed Mount Everest, what did he carry along for security? These great men broke out of their comfort zones and went ahead to do things they didn’t need to do. Just like how you went out your way to help a woman in distress, just how you gave your hand when the world ignored my cries for help, you made me feel secure. You’ve done great things, break the shackles and fulfill your dreams. They’re waiting for you.


Hope for better things. Hope is one thing that can bring great changes to a person’s life. Hope that your health will be better and hope that the bugs that are bothering you will be squashed. When we hope, the world aspires and comes together to make it true. Optimism doesn’t fool us that things are better, optimism makes us see things in a new light and that light helps us build our world in the way we want it.


Keep faith and pray everyday. The Lord will always watch us and never, ever let us down. He might give us a few setbacks to humble us, a few successes when he knows we’ve done our best and failures when we need to work harder. The Lord only intends to make us better people and only wants to help us live our lives to the best we can, atleast I believe so and I hope you will too. Never loose faith, for that is where life came from. 


You know, in life, there are very few people who really ask us how we are. When people ask it as a formality, we have all the right in the world to pretend that we’re perfect. But when it comes from the heart, when the intention to know how you are is genuine, let the layers fade. Let the reality come out. People say that we need to pretend, as we cannot go around sharing our sorrows. Maybe it’s true; maybe it’s not. I haven’t learnt that yet. But I know that I’m willing to take away a part of your pain by listening to the troubles you have. A problem shared is like a burden lifted off the shoulder, it gets halved. So share not only your joys, but your sorrows too. A joy when shared will multiply and a sorrow? When it shared, it will divide.


I have always admired how you have defined yourself. You’re a successful professional , you’re a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend, a mother and I’m sure you play so many more roles in the lives of people around you. But you have always been ‘love’ to me. I love how you have no layers to yourself. I love that innocence, that warmth and that smile that you seem to carry. I love the sweet tune of your voice whenever you talk. Please never change that no matter how stern the world seems on changing it; be yourself. You’re too beautiful a person to turn into a replica of crazy mud-heads.


I don’t know if there’s too much advice in this letter, but I hope you get the message. I care for you and would only wish you the best. I hope your spirits are high and awakened. I hope that you pop open a bottle of champagne , raise a toast to yourself, face life in the eye and say, “I’m ready, bring it on! Show me what you’ve got!” For that’s how strong you are. Put on the best version of yourself and have a great birthday!! :)

Is not being kind and good, the truth of life ? I was always taught to believe that. Many feel it is quite the opposite. Kindness and goodness are not the truths of life they say. In today’s world if you exhibit kindness it is meant to signify that there is a deeper motive hidden behind. If you are being good it is with purpose.
The purity of deed conducted in a realm that breathes unselfish air, has been tainted. Now perhaps for life.
No longer does there exist a desire to believe and trust with immeasurable faith. The ways of modern life and living have been bludgeoned into by suspect behavior .
 Because there is scant respect for honesty in a corrupt society, it has taken a comfortable and lazy seat at the back of the hall. When one is exposed to such impurity, one becomes firm in belief that that is normal and correct behavior. In a society closed and cocooned within its own thinking, there is ever hardly an effort or desire to explore fresh terrain. Some elder or experienced individual, who may have gained faith not entirely because of his current deeds, will become the voice of all reason and decision. His presence amongst others or to the world, then carries different and more severe connotations. 
Why does one individual come with a preconceived agenda. Why does he question or put doubts into those minds that may have never faced questioning. Is someone’s intent written on their  foreheads. Many question that and say that it is and indeed have capacity to read it. Surely that would require some basic intellect. Is basic intellect always impure and corrupt.
I ponder a lot over some of these issues when I notice humans and their behavior. What a great deal of negativity must be utilized to continuously consider evil manipulation and thought. One evil thought would require endless amounts of energy and strength. Would it not serve better purpose if that energy were to be gifted, wrapped in  endless reams of good natured paper.
Is it not right to follow the right path. Or is the left better. Would such indulgence cause you to be left behind.
Why hate on perception. Or is perception the better life. Why judge a state when its reality does not require judgement. Can opinion be formed from what I know from others. Does it not encourage greater pollution.
How does a mind function in such circumstances, or does it not need to. Why does the polluted minds of others disturb the purity of your own. This percentage is small. Small percentages are often close to extinction. Are some of us on the verge of extinction. Would that not be a sad day in the life of normal mortals. Mortals who claim their existence has all along been subjected to only the purity  and compassion expected of them.
Who then wins, or does it not matter.

2015 leaves us .. left us amidst fireworks that lit up the sky in and around us … welcoming the new … 2016 !!


For some peculiar reason .. punching 2016 as the year, seems to be giving a better feel ..

The Past is always Perfect

As a growing up kid, I had a very good memory to remember things.
Not that I had that ultra sharp mind to learn by heart the mathematics multiple tables or memorize the table of metals and their properties but I could retain the little things, a little longer than others.

Little things actually sums up to the moments which might change or enhance the life in the long run. It was never a forceful act to evoke, but interestingly anything and everything occurring into life was by default printed in album of memories in my mind. Be it a good bright page, bad black page or a shadow of grey, every moment was supposed to read, to learn from, and to be cherished in the book of experience and innocence.
Forgetting the past to me meant like unwilling to face the mistakes done and hesitant to learn. Perhaps, learning is ageless. One must keep learning and practicing their skills as in a pursuit of perfection. Indeed as the saying goes "There are some things you learn best in calm and some in storm".
Learning is after all the synonym for Life.

Gradually as I was learning and making a list of things, my likes or dislikes, my choices and my beliefs, I further learnt that at times we need to move on. To move on was a sign of letting go of things.


"Letting things go from some habits, people, ideas, desires, expectations, is always the hardest part of the life to face. Only difference between 'the lost and letting things go' is that one does not have any control over the lost and on the other hand one chooses consciously to let go things respectively. Basically at the end in the both conditions one tries hard to cope up with the change and tries setting oneself free to fly high and embrace new positive possibilities. It is not the easy step one takes on to overcome hurdles of uncertainties and accepting the circumstances wholeheartedly. However, those are the turning points and are greatest memories which we look back on our lives. Until our memories shape up into a glorifying past, we read back and forth, fine-tune it, forget what we want to forget and revise to remember and emphasize in all the good things, bending the best way with the interpretations and elucidation of the experience.

Over the period of time and hassle, the words evaporates from the whole picture of the past perceived. This picture of past blends well with colours of the feeling which actually never changes, it remains the same, tastes the same! And now we know for sure how we want to present that personal piece of history to people. I personally enjoy providing a fabric to the story!

I believe in stories.
I believe that the stories never really end, even while we are reading them in the books. The stories always go on. They neither end on the last page nor does it start from the first page of the book. There is always a lot left untold, pretended and presumed before it begins from the first page, after it actually rolling ends at the last page and sooner than the book is snapped shut. Eventually every experience becomes a story to share someday.
Pouring out the part of the story we are holding back.
Subsequently all the messed up things, today those are the moments marked where we did not lose hope, where we suffered yet supported strongly to mend up and bravely make up to the brag. Sometimes the past makes up well equipped to further face the bigger disaster. The picture of the past seems perfect at present beyond compromise, beyond reason, beyond promise and beyond peace, beyond love and beyond any loss.


Nevertheless, I was moving on but with memories! They are moments to cherish and celebrate.


I value the things from which I have learnt the most.
Perhaps, those things have been let go due to strange situations.
Yet I found out that most of the worth things I adore are somehow the lost one.


May be I feel that I gained more and lost less. I gained strength, I learnt to move forward, gained more determination to focus and the good list goes on. May be the lost is significant because of the perfect memory constructed in mind. They never fade. They though been lost, do not lose the charm. They never rusted. They are made up of the tough yet in high spirits series of memoirs, be it good or bad, they still been so far the best recollections. Those memories of ones we had turn brighter, enlightening, which only grows rosier day by day with the revision. They are made up of hopes, putting our faith in aspirations and dreams of magnificent things could have been. A hypothesis of eternal ‘if it could have happen’ should never bear with the fact of reality of non-existence. Yet no matter whether it dwells or not, really good time sometimes are already the one we regret the end of it. The lost is the love, the commitment, the excitement, the joy, the bliss and the growth that occurred in the passion we posses. Those are ours to keep them secured forever to feel the warmth.

Perhaps only things we no longer have due to fluttering tranche time ticking, have been so flawlessly real that it will always be poise to perfect eternal in our memories in the final trumpet destiny-destination of life.


It's very much like before you participated in a running race, you aspired, aimed and thought of winning the race which will eventually follow a grand success party, cheers and celebration by friends and family. Yet after all that what you thought, the running race did not turn up like it could have, you might have not won not even near to the catch. Against all the odds, loss and agony you go through in looking at the broken promises and dreams, you try thinking that in-spite of all the hurdles and tough time, you sincerely participated in the contest. It gave you bliss and joy even if it was for a while. It made you feel blessed, loved and cared. You literally lead the best in the marathon of memories and above all the experience counts. Finally, I’m glad that it happened (even if it was hypothetically)...  


Indeed, this is a marvelous moment to remind myself that I'm in the present and my thoughts which I'm sharing right now are coming from my past. Hence, Past is Past, past is and has to be always perfect to me!

Some Tough Decisions

I thought people are successful because they struggled and persistently worked hard.
But I often hear them saying that they have made so many compromises in their life to be successful or be at this top of the pyramid structure. Honestly, not being rude but I don't get them at all. I wonder are they trying to prove that they have made too many compromises in life, or they want to be noticed that they are quite successful right now in their life or they are simply putting light on the compromise section of their life and overshadowing their success.

Whatever they mean in real, I being truly empathetic only comprehend that though being on top people still regret of making certain decision in life which they call it as compromise. Our human emotions are built in such a way that we like to sob and still state that we are successful. It's funny to be identified as a martyred hero for the decisions we take.

Lets not get down, discussing whose phase in life have been more difficult. Each one us have our own share of tough time to deal with.

I have also made few decisions in my life which were tough for me to take. Yet those tough choices I made are not the compromises. They are neither settlements nor were any kind of sacrifices. They were tough decisions to shape up the current reality then, based on the circumstances which were not in control at that point. Perhaps circumstance can never be controlled, and we often deny completely to understand this simple fact.

Some decisions were for, "firmness of purpose"; some for only a "sense of purpose"; some were "resolution"; and some decisions were simply "conclusions".

There is a series of priorities in one's life and we need to list them, scroll them to and fro, rank it and perhaps implement them in life. That what is life and that what we are made up of the progression of integrated priority. Warm up have a flexible approach and keep exercising it to excel further.

I heartily respect and appreciate when people say their life is quite eventful. There are chapters in the book of life. Some chapters interests people and some grab only our attention in simple little stanzas.

Some choices we make for people around and some decisions we take for thyself! Perhaps, still if you call your decisions a sacrifice since they were taken for other's sake, then sure those sacrifices at the end made you only stronger.

Let's, "give thought to"; "give priority to"; "pay attention to"; "be devoted to" ; "be dedicated to" be the words chosen by you when you are admitting that you were made alone by the choices you created in life.

Reflect on your past decisions, good or bad, easy or tough, learn from the mistakes made and never forget to celebrate on your triumph too as "Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from making bad decisions." - Mark Twain. Pat your back for being strong and sailing away calmly during the hurricanes of life. Cherish your decisions!


What I have learnt in life is that,
What we are today, are not the compromises or sacrifices we made in life.
We are the product of passion in priorities we make to enrich our as well as other's life. Indeed, you are only growing and evolving in your life with your tough decisions.

Routine has such an impressionable effect on others. Or should I say that one persons routine becomes another’s pain. Those that cannot contend with a disciplined routine of someone else will work ceaselessly to prove that the other is so incredibly wrong. The weakness or handicap of one shall always become an issue of ridicule for the other, even though the other will be devoid of any great accomplishment of value. It is the classic case of one being so devoid of any acquisition, or merit, that finding demerits in the other would come as a deliberate demeanor, to cover up their own deficiencies. There is a complex hidden here – a complex of inferiority. Not finding oneself in a position of superiority, the inferior shall continuously persist in finding fault in the other, or other things. It is a false reminder to themselves that they know better than all else. That they are right and the rest of the world wrong. And an immediate test of that is when they are challenged. Challenged to prove that they are right. Firstly in such a situation, there will be a denial, then anger at the audacity of the challenger, and finally leaving the situation altogether, so that they do not have to face the correction.


I would say that they are classic fodder for the psychiatrist. They are in desperate need of help, and which should be immediate. For, if it were to be ignored and left unattended, could in time destroy the balance of their minds. An unstable mind is perhaps the worst ailment or condition for any human. Their continuous ranting at pointing fingers at all, will in time envelope them into a disease – one that shall unfortunately never be up for any cure.


The sad part here is that damage is irreparable. They will never accept their inferiority, and so shall never believe in their instability.


There are conditions I believe in such circumstances. The inferiority complex comes from the knowledge that knowing you are inferior than the other, you deliberately keep insisting that you are superior or that the other is not of your standard. In a sense you pose to be superior, when indeed you are not. But being inferior, one can also develop an obtuse superior complex, as an outer shield. A shield that protects you, albeit metaphorically, from any kind of instigation which you feel has been executed, to put you down through an act of superiority.


There is another dilemma though. Trying to be superior as an act of wanting to be noticed as being one. And so on. This could be most damaging in practice, and I do hope that when and if someone God forbid, were to fall into such category, they would possess, at least in their moments of private thought, what they were pretending to be. For reality has strange ways of catching up with you.

...must come to an end.

Loyalty is underrated.

In a relationship, respect precedes love. Always.

Don't compromise. But if you do, live with it.

What goes around doesn't always come around. Sometimes it just disappears completely.

When things don't go your way, pray.

If death can solve all problems, nobody will be alive to see the solutions.

Nobody is perfect, but we can all learn to be a little less imperfect.

Life is never fair. Suck it.

The winner takes it all. That's a fact.

YOU should never be more important than ME.

I am not different. I am just unique.

For The Last Time...

I am NOT Andrew.

There is this 40-ish to 50-year old lady who has been calling my mobile asking for Andrew. The first few times when she called, I said, "Sorry aunty, I think you got the wrong number."

Few weeks later, she called for Andrew again. Multiple times. I took a deep breath and said as nicely as I could muster,"Aunty, there is NO Andrew here. You called the wrong number."

Auntie called again a month later. "Can you please check the number before you call? This is NOT Andrew's mobile." I could almost hear myself losing my cool.

"Aunty! This is my number, NOT Andrew's number! Please don't call me anymore looking for Andrew because there is no such person!" said an exasperated me, a few months later to the persistent Aunty. I have really lost it this time.

Early this year, she called again. The moment I picked up, I tried to use my most menacing mafia voice ever and growled,"You have called this number many, many, many times! How many times must I tell you that you've got the wrong number? I am NOT Andrew ok? Don't call this number again!"

The calls stopped after that.

I was in a conversation yesterday afternoon, having a fruitful discussion with an old friend. The phone rang. In a swift reflex motion, I answered it with my chirpy voice, "Heh-llo"?

"Eh elo....Is Andrew there?"

It's the Return of The Aunty.

It's been two years now, and she's still calling my bloody number looking for her bloody Andrew. I want to tighten my fingers around Andrew's neck so much.

The little red devil with the forked tail in me really wanted to scream at her, and asked her why da hell she keeps calling the same number looking for the same idiot when I have told her umpteen times that she had got it wrong.

I wanted to yell and shake her and insist that she writes her stupid Andrew's name and REAL phone number on the wall in blood and get herself a phone that has number pad dials as big as her bedroom.

I even wanted to threaten to sue her for harassing me, though I have a nagging feeling that she simply kept dialling the wrong number due to dementia.

Sigh.

"Wrong number." My voice came out flat and emotionless, and I hung up the phone almost the same time I said it. The little white angel with fluffy wings has won the battle.

Somehow, I knew the phone would ring again. Someday.
